When hiking and paddling, supper is our luxury meal. Here we have time to cook and prepare something more elaborate. Many of the meals listed here are dehydrated meals which are tasty and easy to prepare, but which don't add a lot of weight or bulk to our packs. Furthermore, even though the contain perishable items like meat, they won't spoil.
Dehydrated meals benefit from advanced soaking. This speeds up rehydration and supper preparation. A one-litre, lexan Nalgene bottle is ideal for this purpose.
